New-build timber-framed 4-bed dormer bungalow

Bishop Sutton
2015

Finished to a high standard internally with oak joinery, high grade kitchen including granite worktops, ensuite, wood-burning stove, sun room and built-in cupboards and wardrobes.

The building also had some more "techy" features such as remote control system for the heating controlled via Bluetooth on the client's phone, hard-wired "Sonos" sound system, data, phone, TV, Sky and wi-fi throughout.

With the build processes and systems used this is a very energy efficient home. For example, the air tightness of a building must score below 10 to pass building regulations, whereas this building scored under 3. As a result of this the heat loss is minimal and combined with high levels of insulation found in timber framed buildings the building will be thermally efficient and economical to heat.

Thermal efficiency is something which we are keen to achieve at WJW Construction and is only possible with high levels of building quality.
